Chessay Ma Jaw is a small, scattered village community in a very poor area. The village school has 360 pupils aged between seven and fourteen who come from Chessay and the surrounding villages.
HELPING has undertaken a major refurbishment of several of the school buildings including renewing roofs and rebuilding walls. The entire school has been repainted inside and out and new tables and chairs have been supplied, with new blackboards planned for this year.
Every pupil has been given three exercise books and two pencils and new uniforms were provided to the most needy children.
